Access Bank has said that its 2nd international leadership conference would provide an opportunity for young entreprenurs and youths to learn from international business leaders that have been billed for the event.
Speaking to Journalist on Friday in Lagos, Executive Director Personal Banking Division, Access Bank, Victor Etuokwu who said that the fi rst step to achieve great things is having an idea, noted that fi rst as big player in the fi nancial sector stands to gain if the country’s economy grows beyond the level it is now.
“Access Bank is glad to play our role as important players in national affairs in terms of generation of ideas for the development of the country.
“The conference we will gather expressional leaders in private and public sector. All around leadership as usual, we will gather the best around the world. This year’s theme is very timely not only for us as individuals but for our country”, Etuokwu said.
He said life-changing innovation popping up in unexpected places around the globe with breakthrough development in sectors such as nanotech, biotech, artifi cal intelligence, robotics and more, will affect every sector of the global economy in such a way that businesses will have nowhere to hide.
The Executive Director said that the theme of this year’s conference is ‘Leading in a transformational world-the imperative of innovation’ and the inspirational leaders from the global private and public sectors will be discussing the major themes facing Africa, the world economy and the social transformation created by changing technology.
According to him, innovation means big change and even bigger opportunities for those who decide to be part of it.
“As we are all experiencing it, innovation is moving at a speed that’s never been witnessed. With two billion internet users worldwide and 50 billion connected devices by 2020, innovative technology is defi nitely the defi ning trend for today’s business, he noted.
The bank said the conference which the second edition will hold December 10, 2015 in Lagos would feature representatives from around the world including Chris Hughes ,Facebook Co-founder, Steve Wozniak ,Apple Co- founder and Tony Fernades , founder and CEO of Air Asia .
