Cost Of Doing Business In Abuja Too High – Ezekwesili

The cost of doing business in the nation’s capital, Abuja, has been described as high and dangerous for competiveness.
Speaking at the 2016 Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Excellence Award Dinner held in Abuja yesterday, the Former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, said if the cost of doing business in Abuja remains high businesses in the city may continue to remain behind in terms and can’t compete with those in the other states.
She called on the ACCI to remove obstacles impeding smooth operations of businesses in the nation’s capital. The former Minister also called on businesses in Nigeria to shun sharp practices and imbibe integrity in thier corporate governance to maintain their excellence.
The President of the ACCI, Mr. Tony Ejinkeonye, corroborated Ezekwesili’s position that in trying to build excellence, some companies compromise their integrity in other to reduce cost and increase thier profitability.
